Location Hotel La Fuente del Sol

Hotel La Fuente del Sol is located only 15 minutes from the Andalusian city, Antequera and close to the famous mountain range El Torcal. Antequera is located about 60 km from Malaga, inland.

The Sierra del Torcal, or El Torcal is a mountain range south of Antequera and is known for its unusual limestone, the so called karst landscapes (mushroom mountains).
El Torcal can be visited from the Village of Villanueva de la Concepción. a small gift shop and interpretive centre at the parking area is the starting point for a short walk to an impressive viewpoint. There are 3 hiking trails, 1.5, 2.5 and 4.5 km lenght. El Torcal is one of the beautiful inland mountains of Andalucia.

Direction to Hotel La Fuente del Sol

All traffic has to leave the airport in the same direction. Follow the signs to Málaga.
About a mile from the airport you will go under a footbridge, move into the right lane and follow the exit signposted Antequera. This will bring you on to the ring
road.
Once on the ring road, follow the sign for Antequera and Granada which will take you on to the A-45. Once on the A-45 continue for approximately 20 kilometres,
then exit at nº 148 marked Casabermeja and Colmenar. Come down off the motorway and you will see a petrol station in front of you.
Follow the road signs to Casabermeja and Villanueva de la Concepción. The road will bear left back underneath the motorway. At the roundabout, take the right hand exit, signed to Villanueva de la Concepción and Almogía. This road (provided you do not turn off left or right) will bring you all the way into Villanueva de la Concepción.

Once in Villanueva, turn left at the T junction at the top of the village. At approximately 2 kilometres, you will see a right hand turn, and a sign to La Joya 9 km. (There is a sign of our hotel here) Once in La Joya you will find a stop sign with another sign of our hotel in front of you. Follow the sign here and go up this street until you leave the village of La Joya, continue the track for 1.8 km and you will find our hotel on your left.
